Location  

Certaldo is right in the heart of Tuscany and due to its location is the ideal starting point for tours to Florence, Siena, Pisa, S.Gimignano, Volterra and many other places. The old part of the town is worth a visit itself.

Clean and quiet Il Pianigiano is in the middle of the countryside, but still only a 15 minute walk from the town center.  

The B&B has its own entrance, garden and facilities and during your stay you'll have your own keys, just like home. We live upstairs though and we are on duty 24/7, just give us a call and we come down to help you.

This is a great place to get a good sleep at night and relax during the day in our garden or in the front yard.
There is also a dining room where you can enjoy your meals and chat with your friends.

Every room has its own bathroom, air conditioning and tv set. All rooms are cleaned daily by our professional full time staff.

If you are coming by train give us a ring from the station, we'll be glad to come and pick you up from there.

Facilities and Atmosphere

At "Il Pianigiano" everything is new and well-maintained.  We provide free maps and we occasionally organize tours to wine shops and olive oil producers in the area.

Free mountain bikes

This is one of the services that we offer to our guests, in particolar way to the ones who don't have a car. From our B&B you can easily bike to S. Gimignano or to many other interesting spots, have a tour around the chianti  hills or simply bike to the station to get a train for your daily trip and... no worries about coming back late... there's no curfew or lockout, you will have your own key to let you in any time you want.
